While I don't give a crap about anything ESPN says, I do agree Clemson and FSU will lead the conference with Clemson winning at home against FSU.
These last 93 days are going to crawl. I'm glad I'll be going on vacation to Europe the next 2 weeks to help speed things along.
Go Tigers!!!

That might be the stat of year. Hopefully Boy Genius has figured some things out. I will still never understand that move by Dabo.

As the article politely noted, our secondary was the problem last year.

This coming year, the first two squads of DBs all have meaningful game experience (something was lacking last year and for which we got exposed in first half of the season).

We also now know that Mukuba was hurt last year, but was played anyways because the rest of our DB unit wasn’t reliable enough to be trusted in key situations. Turns out that an injured Mukuba wasn’t up to it, either.

This year, barring a rash of injuries to the DB unit, we will return to our 2021 level of DB play.

(*). This was not a coaching problem.

Well yes and no… first year coaches have a learning curve…

You just hope it is fairly quick (slopes up fast). Then you have key injuries in the secondary requiring creative scheming to mitigate a weakness in the secondary. Combine that with Bresee situation and Murphy taking plays off occassionally, etc and you have multiple challenges.

I have to believe Venables would have mitigated that better due to his experience. Wes ultimately got it patched up, but had to make some mistakes along the way. He will be better and better as he settles into the role. Look for the D to be special this year as Wes and his adjustments will be too.
