Right!
Who cares what the National press thinks. I’m surprised we are #3.
The only way Clemson gets respect nationally is to win on the field! Dabo and Danny made it routine to beat national powers like Ohio State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Alabama, Penn State…… Enjoy the wins!
Before the Nebraska Championship game in the Orange Bowl, their fans didn’t even know what state Clemson was from! The Alabama fans in 2019 said it was a tough draw for Clemson to have face them (‘greatest team ever’) ‘this year’. Clemson lives rent free in the minds of all #2 Ohio State fans since the ‘Woody Hayes game’.
Like Dabo says ‘the fun is in winning’
Go Tigers, Wreck Tech! Looking for greatness in 2022….

We get the most out of what we have and that is a credit to Dabo and all our coaches. NFL rosters are not full of Tiger players and that is the only disappointment I have over the last 10 years. We have had a nice number of 1st round guys but many of our draft picks never make it in the league. This year's group has a great chance to increase our presence in the NFL.

IMO, you have been a continued disappointment to T-Net, and the only reason I haven't TD-ed your negativity more than I already have, is bc I have stopped reading anything you post, and I clicked on this one by not paying attention to name beside the post, my bad, and I will try to pay more attention to the post I click on to read. That will be good for you, and me bc, that will be one less TD you will get, and one less negative post I will see of yours!!!
Mods, that ignore coots thingy don't seem to be working very well!!!

Yeah. because Clemson is the only school to ever have first round picks fizzle. SMH, the list I could give you of Alabama or Ohio St players who bombed would be lengthy indeed, but hey, why let facts get in the way of a good narrative right?

Wait, who said that, though? I don't think that was part of this one.
Gonna be another monster draft in April for Clemson, too.

"The spot behind the Buckeyes could be seen as curious with Clemson having won three of the four matchups between the two in the timespan and winning one more national title."
Obvious, elephant in the room talk there. National press is going to do what they do...no one, at this point, is surprised by their blatant Clemson dissing actions.

I think we used to love this stuff & being ranked up there in spite of their rankings having a weird, albeit explicit, system of record.
C'mon, y'all. It's not a conspiracy MORE than something to celebrate, that's all.

While it's a weird way to rank teams in my opinion, they at least used pretty explicit criteria & there certainly was no debate for anything lower than 3rd for us so I definitely get it (more than some sort of conspiracy just to get clicks from Tigers fans. The league itself having roughly half the number of the B1G in ranked poll finishes, for example, makes the argument of "2a vs 2b" too small to get angry about I guess is all.
Admittedly, Brad's a Carolina guy, but these lists ONLY have as much meaning as we give them & frankly I think it's rad to be inescapably in the discussion for the top two.
I don't think the team cares, nor should they (nor are they trained to outright) & the best part is we're likely to be undefeated & face Ohio State in round one of the playoff this year regardless. Another win would seal Clemson at 2nd, too, of course. Can't wait.
TOMORROW is the first month of having college football back. Go Tigers!

Don’t forget some people on a conference biased sports network think last year was the end of the dynasty.
Maybe some are the same people?

Recency Bias! No way OSU has been better the past decade.

In no measurable way has Ohio State been the better program either head-to-head , or in CFP success, or in National Titles.
Nothing falls in favor of Ohio State over Clemson except that they won the “most recent” meeting.

In the last ten years, Clemson posted more wins, won more Nattys and won 3 of 4 games head to head with Ohio State. We played in the Championship game 4 times and Ohio State played for the title 1 time.
And so 247 ranks OSU higher than Clemson?
247's calculus seems faulty.

The win % argument hardly seems fair or right to use

Clemson has played 9 more games than OSU in that 10 yrs with a record of 121-18 for Clemson and 117-13 for anOSU. The 2020 season when they FINALLY beat Clemson they played a regular season of 6 games and finished with a 7-1 record while Clemson played an 11 game season and finished 10-2. Clemson has played 9 more games, been to way more CFPs and won twice as many Nattys. This just seems like a very "Brad" thing to do putting anOSU at #2 mainly bc of draft picks but using a winning % when Clemson has played almost an entire season more games than anOSU.
