We won 10 games in spite of our QB and lost

2 games because of our QB. And have coaches who refuse to acknowledge or correct. That’s the crux of the issue. I know there are lots of other issues but this is the biggest. That’s why it’s so hard to fathom and move on. And yes I’m usually over it by now but can’t get this out of my system yet. Longest streak in the series at stake. Crap.

While that is true and not a good showing by the D. Do you understand what lack of offensive production does to a defense?

Hard to win when your QB doesn’t play well. Our QBs in that ND game essentially gave ND 14 points..and really took away 7 from us. Totally different ballgame if they don’t turn the ball over in super-critical situations…notwithstanding the rushing defense.

I’ll qualify a little though….DJ’s pick in the red zone was on Ngata…not DJ. I still think it’s mostly a coaching/development issue for the offense in general.

We also gave up less than 400 total yards and had only given up 1 offensive TD going into the 4th quarter. With a halfway decent qb the game isn't even close.

9 of our 13 opponents have been ranked at some point during the season. That's a lot of pressure on BC and Ga Tech to have to keep dragging down a whole conference.

12-2, 10-4 makes no difference; the 2022 season was worse than 2021. Due to the blowout loss at ND, (40 winstreak, 7Wrow)loss at home to an overrated SC squad, and we p!$$ed away Cade's freshman season. We hiave slowed our rate of decline-

It is hard. It was 7 years in the making. Again, a glaring…

…absence of self-awareness of what was at stake in that Coot game.
Oh sure, if this statement were read and responded to by the coaching staff, they would completely dismiss it as total fiction. However, it was the same lack of self-awareness at Notre Dame of what was at stake less than 1 week after being gifted the CFP that cost Clemson their CFP spot.
This is the MENTAL part of the game, that you would normally attribute to the coaches, whose responsibility is to get the players in a mental state of preparedness. This didn’t happen in South Bend or with the Coots.
It is this lack of self-awareness of the stakes of a PARTICULAR game (no, not all games have the same relative importance, even though you attempt to approach each game as a playoff game, that is almost impossible to sustain throughout a football season) that has me at a serious loss of confidence for this ACCCG against UNC.
Approaching EVERY single game with the same mentality of a nameless, faceless opponent, with “Clemson playing Clemson” in every game is like developing a foot callus that becomes insensitive to touch when something sharp is about to cut through the callus.
The CFP is GONE. That was p155ed away in South Bend. I NEVER thought that after that loss, the Tigers would have a shot at the CFP.
What is at stake this Saturday is a New Year’s Day Orange Bowl invitation. While not the CFP, this is still HUGE and a very worthy opportunity to take seriously as the Tigers take the field in Charlotte.
I hope the Tigers take their heads out of their collective a55e5 and play to their potential.

Dabo and streeter knows DJ sucked Saturday but much like u and I both know DJ has a fragile confidence and going publicly and saying DJ sucked is only going to kill his confidence more. And we have a conference championship in less than a week. What do u want street and Dabo todo pull a tee, renfrow, deshaun, Trevor or so on out the oculus. There’s nothing they can do. Dabo wants to win just as bad as we want to win and he sees Cade and DJ EVERYDAY in practice and he is going to play the best option to win. And before u say they should’ve thrown Cade in Saturday I agree but what drive in the 4th quarter would’ve been a good one to throw him in. Remember he’s been thrown in “bad situations” all year. Trust Dabo guys he is literally one of the best in the business. He deserves our trust and respect. ANYWAYS GO TIGERS!!!!

This is simply not true, DJ was a huge reason for the wins against Wake Forest and NC State. How quickly T-Net has forgotten.
Also the Notre Dame loss was on the entire team, no one played well in any facet.
The only one that makes sense is that DJ is the reason for the loss to South Carolina, but the 2 special team fumbles, and abysmal game by our wide receivers should receive equal blame.

No, they shouldn't. Despite all of that we were up with 4 minutes to go with the ball. He throws a pick. Thats squarely on him. You can't have a guy play like dog crap the whole game and despite that the team gives him a position to win and he sucks it up. Thars on him.

Our schedule isn't good. We are simply a lot more talented than every team that we play. That's just where the program is right now. The portal is certainly closing the gap. But we are still a lot more talented than everyone in the conference. I'm not impressed that we win 10 games with our schedule. We have top 5 talent in arguably the worst P5 conference in the country.

We didnt lose the USuC game because if the QB. If we don’t fumble the ball on that last return we kick a field goal and win.
