Welp, that's great for them. Neither were ever going to get close to being under monte's tutelage anyway. Not with the situation we have in football and the way Dabo rolls. With Dabo you have a year round plan, especially in a QB or WR role. Imo, that's how I see it anyway. Will may have had a small chance to play for Monte, but when? A month? April 15-June 15?
So, they will definitely hit the 2mil + as was stated before. Bubba and Will both have good chances to shine on an elite program. Bubba realizes he could be instrumental this fall and showcase his QB talent, thus vaulting him to NFL spotlight...
He can get a hefty insurance policy. I believe I'm correct in saying that on a FB scholly, should things not work out, he could quit FB next year and get drafted big time in MLB. Not with his raw talent, the money won't dissipate. Then, the question both have to aanswer to themselves, how important is going to college and enjoying that experience. Only they (and Dabo) know their family situation.
Just continue to pray for both these young men that God will direct them and not the $.
Either way, unlike other coaches, Dabo has a plan. B, C D etc etc. We're ok.

It seems most recruits in this situation sign for the money and if baseball doesn't work out they are a college qb at 25.

Can you imagine if both these guys enrolled and played both football and baseball at Clemson? Dabo would essentially be Monte’s recruiting coordinator. Since it’s Dabo and staff involved you can never rule out them deciding to forgo the MLB draft.

As a financial advisor I certainly know what I would advise. Very simple question. Are either of them likely to be QB1 in the next 2-3 years? Are either of them likely to be First round NFL QBs? or even NFL QBs? Maybe, but...bird in the hand, longevity and the potential to pull a Weinke in football if MLB doesn't work out is a bit of a no brainer imo.
