Yep, basically back to back away Gameday games for us. Considering, the NYC one this week is a campusless one.

I'm not really a fan of 8pm kicks. I find myself just walking around my house nervously all day waiting for the kickoff

Lane is a great place to watch a game. Crowd is usually pretty rowdy. I would expect nothing less for this one. The Hokies are also normally a pretty friendly fanbase.

Was sitting row 3 behind our bench at the 40 yd. Line . Saw the bottle in flight . Came from row 6 to 10 to my left no more than 20 or 30 feet from me. Thrown on a rope also. Lots of alcohol in that stadium . 2 half gallons within a few feet of us the whole game they never let our drinks run on regular haha. Just bagged and sitting on the bleacher floor as if to say not mine , not mine . Never saw security or uniformed police get below row 20 or so ..just saying cause they consumed with no fear.

If Iowa and Michigan State both win this weekend, Game Day would likely head to Lansing. The only other possibility is if Mississippi State and Auburn both win this weekend. Otherwise, pick a FCS site again...or return to NYC?

My one experience with VT football at Lane Stadium

I attended the Miami at VT game 11/05/05. It was a night time ESPN Game Day game. I tailgated with a bunch of Hokie fans, many of whom I knew. They were a fun bunch. I had an orange sweat shirt on with a white tiger paw. It was all that I had that was orange. I was a guest of Hokie Fans, and I pulled for the Hokies...and I just don't like Miami. On the way into the stadium, one of those red neck (VT) fans who you are pretty sure is not an alumni (we have 'em too), got in my face and started proclaiming that Clemson sucks. When she continued, my Hokie hosts got between her and me and persuaded her to move along!
As far as in the stadium, I think that the seats (numbers on the seats) are narrower. It seemed as if I had to turn a little sideways the whole game.
The campus is very pretty. Every building surrounding the parade ground, and within some "x" radius, has to be built with this light pinkish stone ("Hokie stone") that is mined locally. When I woke up EARLY game day morning, my friend's father who owns the cabin that we were staying at, was ecstatic to see someone else up, and asked if I wanted a personal tour of campus (he IS a VT alum). I said heck yea', and off we went. Since it was crack of dawn, there was very little traffic. We saw where ESPN Game Day was setting up. It was a great tour. The biggest things I remember was that Hokie stone, and the duck pond. The duck pond has some significance, but I forget what!

I'm sure Lavar's stats will cement his second Heisman trophy with his performance in this game.
500+ yards passing
250+ yards rushing
4 defenders hurdled
Scoring a combined 12 tds in only 59:57 of game time played.
Truly, a sight to behold!
