UGA as a program has separated from everyone else. It's not even close.

A couple weeks ago the Graduation Success Rate over the last eight years was released for all FBS schools. Georgia came in dead last at 41%. As if that weren't bad enough, the next worst school was UCLA at 64%. Georgia could improve by 50% and still be in last place.
Clemson is in first place at 99%. Our national championship trophies may have a little more age on them than UGA's, but at least the players on those teams have rings and diplomas.
People keep wondering how to stop the juggernaut that is UGA football. It's simple. Require at least a 50% graduation rate to be eligible for the postseason.

They’ll need a driver who can read a map ( or just be able to read, period) and several days to get there.

agree.... somewhat. I've stated before that your total number of players on the team.... not scholly's is limited to the graduation percentage. The University presidents could make this happen.

In the SEC. And that’s saying something with the puppy mills they have running over there. With that being said, the check cutters could care less about graduating players. It has zero influence on the marketability of your brand. Viva college football in 2024!

They beat the Coots by 10 and their record is 6-6 They beat Auburn by 7 and their record is 6-7 They beat GaTech by 8 and their record is 7-6
UGA is a great team but not every week. They were very good yesterday, but FSU was missing 20+ players and was terrible. That's why they play the games. Well, until this year when it mattered much less.

This isn't we graduated 85% to your 83%. Georgia is a statistical outlier. I'm surprised you can't see that or don't think it matters. If acting like Georgia is what is required to win like Georgia, you can have it. But of course it isn't as both Alabama and Clemson have shown over the last decade.

He is speaking from a base which includes being a Clemson grad and longtime IPTAY member, but has a head coach who has won not ONE, but TWO National Titles AND LEADS THE COUNTRY in graduation rate. But, moreover, many teams, including Alabama, are at the top in graduation and winning titles. Clemson is not a member of a Triple A farm club. Many college football fans attended the Univeristy they bleed for. They take pride in fellow students making up their team. Georgia, on the other hand, seems to have taken a stance that the student part of student/athlete is immaterial. Years ago, the NCAA had an APR standard that had to be met for a school to remain eligible to compete against other NCAA schools. They even put one school on probation for two years where they could not even have a basketball team. It may not be possible for schools to restrict NIL, but it is absolutely possible for them to as a group, say what is acceptable for a player to be an eligible student/athlete. And as the OP pointed out, many schools are doing well in both winning and graduating players, which seems to be the main focus of college sports. Georgia, however, seems to have taken the path of win at all costs. I mean, Clemson kicked a player off the team because he committed armed robbery. Georgia welcomed that guy with open arms. I hope we never stoop to that level. Personally, I don't think that is the culture we have at Clemson. And my proof is that our players elected a guy as a permanent captain who only made 11 of 17 field goal attempts...but he put his life on hold to come help out his ex teammates....

I disagree. I also think that climbing the mountain is hard and staying on top of the mountain is even harder. I think that Clemson, Alabama & Georgia are all current proof of that.

No one gives a sh*t about graduation rates. Games are won on the gridiron not in the classroom...This is the reality man! Dabo is paid $11m a year to win football games, not graduate players. Again, here is this youth pastor mentality.

Tigers. They are the Clemson University Tigers. That is what makes college ball so unique. But, I'm sure the NFL would like to see as many players run through the system as possible for them to get a free look . Just think of the money they would have tossed at DJ,Ladson, etc. as players straight out of high school if the NFL did not have this free farm club system....
Most people that are fans of a college team went to school there, or are related to someone who went to school there. And I'm not starting the argument that fans that didn't go to Clemson are lesser fans. But the ones who did, want the sports teams to be connected to the school. And, they are going to wear the colors with pride whether Clemson is 15-0 or 0-12.

Dabo has never lied to the fans and university about wanting to develop and graduate players for life. After that, good happens. As far as I can tell he's sticking to his promise with 6 playoffs and 2 National Championships woven in for good measure.
Youth Pastors everywhere are thanking you for the pub.

success on the gridiron, and the Dawgs have produced that.
Like him or not Kirby Smart has done a hellll of a job, and I fully expect them to be ranked in the top four in this season's final poll.
However, there remains the giant elephant in the SEC room, and that's Nick Saban. I, also, know that programs rise and fall, rise and fall ad nauseam which will happen to UGA. Meaning, they won't win the national championship every year.
One final point: a whole lot of Clemson fans, me included, wish we played them every year, and it's a screwed up situation that we don't.

on the football field, I can't see how anyone really could think that Georgia has separated themselves from everyone else. Let's not forget, they lost to an Alabama team that is not even up to normal Alabama standards. The same team that required a flat miracle to beat a poor Awbarn team that got embarrassed in their bowl game. The same team that got TROUNCED by a Texas team that will most likely get bounced out of the Playoffs today.
Georgia is just as beatable as any other team. You just have to have your own Dudes on your side, and Clemson does. It will be a long wait until August 31st, but I certainly am looking forward to it, not running from it.
