Just don't get them wet.

If you rub the lenses too hard or get them wet and just rub the water off, the lens coloring and polarizing effect will rub right off.
I went for a run and got rained on for a brief bit. When I wiped the glasses off on my shirt, the lenses were ruined. Had to throw them away after that.
I stopped buying them after the 2nd or 3rd pair lasted about a month.

I just got tired of having to go through the return process every so often.
I got a pair of Tifosi's after all that, and I've found them to be much more durable and equally as effective.

All it does is makes screens harder to see for me. I don't even screen that much except at work.

So, if you turn your head your almost sideways, it will still block it. I always use my phone for navigation... I dont even know if my car now has a screen. I never use it. I think it does.

on my computer screen, sunglasses turn dark at 90 degrees like the pic above. On laptop, it's more like 45 degrees. On cellphone, it's 45 degrees, but the opposite way.
So not a consistant thing.

my experience is Costas have gone way downhill
2

I've had a couple pair of Costas fall apart in the last year or so....the linses are geat, the frames suck.
The rubber on the frame/nosepiece seems to deteriorate and/or come unglued easily. Friends have same issue.
Another pair I just bumped into my car door (while wearing them) and the arm snapped off. These were the new "eco" frames made out of recycled fishing nets or something. Weak as heck.
Maui Jim is way out front IMO.
Serengetis are great quality too. Find a vintage pair made by Corning Optics (pre-2000 I think) and they last you a lifetime. I have a few of those and they are righteous. And the newer ones aren't bad, just not quite as good as the vintage. Like Ray-Bans -- the vintage Ray-Bans (Bausch & Lomb) are the ones to get and cherish. New Ray-Bans, with some exception, are mostly trash.

last 3 pair I have bought. I had the rubber deteriorate years ago on the arms of a pair of Brines, but I sent them back and they sent me a brand new pair.
My next pair with be a pair of Smiths I'll prob get before I go to the Keys in may. I think Maui lenses are better than everyone else's, but their frame styles are kind of dated, and limited.

Used to wear Costas, but they jumped the shark. Ray Bans are a classic. Kaenon makes nice shades.
I’m currently wearing a pair of Maui Jims. I like them a lot, but they are spendy. Don’t know if I’ll buy another pair.

In addition to a reasonable adult pair of Goodr (well...sorta lies, I went Manac), I got the Clemson homer pair as well. They're actually quite ugly...but I couldn't help myself.
