For anyone that feels bad for the longevity of the potential sentance just imagine if this kid came forward and was honest early on. No chance it would have come to this.
Both him and his father lied and continued to lie. Lawyers should have advised them early on to agree to a deal and let us know where the rest of the rock was. I could care less about this kid at this point if he goes to jail for a while.

if he had come clean and admitted what he did and ask forgiveness he could have had very little jail time.. but NO, he had to get a c$$t lawyer and fight.. he still has not returned the missing piece!THROW THE BOOK AT HIM!! 20 years is about right
