I do not think Streeter is so utterly and **EXQUISITELY** stupid as to NOT wish, in retrospect, that he had tried this solution **at least** last week (if not before). If he is, then I don't know what to say. I believe this is just about saving face. But it's shameful, because he doesn't have to do some big huge mea culpa- he could save enough face by just saying "regrets, maybe a few, but you live and learn."

I am not sure what we expect him to say. What’s done is done. The baffling mistake to at a minimum not put Cade in at some point in the 3rd or 4 quarter last week is baffling. DJ was soooo bad that one of our running backs could have played better last week.
This was a coaching mistake that mostly likely cost these kids the opportunity to play in the CFP.

Noooo, he is a stupid S O B that done a bad job coaching our QB's, and he is a stupid A$$ OC that has done nothing to have earned the job he has bc he don't know chit about what he's doing with either of his jobs, but don't worry about it bc he will prove it to Dabo before long, and Dabo will fire a coach that hurting his team more than they're helping it. Amazing how that works. Put in a decent qb and his playing calling suddenly gets better. They just look stupid for not putting in Cade earlier but that has been Dabo’s call all along

I have a difficult time believing 100% that they don’t regret it. He can say publicly the statements that protect his decisions in retrospect. However the evidence lies in what transpired on the field tonight. You’re telling us Cade couldn’t do some of that last night? Or against Miami?

You shift blame to yourself. You say that your play calling did not put DJ in the best situation. He doesn't have to believe it, but much of Clemson Nation would buy it, including myself.
I do not think that DJ was as big of an issue as he appeared. Clemson appeared much less predictable with Cade under center. I'm not sure how successful Tom Brady, in his prime, could have been with the play calling that we had for several of the games.
Once DJ's confidence was broken, everything went downhill. DJ, honestly, needs professional help from a sports psychologist. If the DJ that showed up for Wake Forest showed up every week, there would never have been a controversy.

Streeter got "kulbed" in the head with a Cade 2X4 tonight, and he still doesn't admit he errored in judgement on the quarterback situation.

I would bet guys in is not Streeter but Dabo telling him know we are going to try and save DJ no matter the cost and last week the cost caught up. Dabo reads and if he loses the fan base he loses. It’s all about money in everything these days. Cade can go anywhere he wants and if DJ stays he will. You Dabo homers on here better hope he talks him into leaving or you got him again.

I would argue with that just a little bit - Dabo is SLOW to change but I don't he looks back after he makes a change. Cade had his "A Star if Born Moment" and the team is now his I believe.

" It's obvious someone forget to tell this to Streeter. He should have handled this question more professionally but this is what happens when you hire a minimally qualified person and they experience some success. They think they hit a home run when they started out on 3rd base. The underachieving performance of this years team can be directly attributed to the poor QB play....which he is the coach of.

I believe it was John Wooden that said he always felt like he was a better coach when he had better players. I feel bad for DJ as he is a WONDERFUL team player and person and I agree with Dabo, he played well at times and certainly helped us win games we may have lost without him but no question the time had come for a change and that is part of sports too.
Good luck DJ in your next stop and thanks for all you have done.
I'm excited to see what Cade will do with starters reps heading into the OB!
We will need to score points in that one!

Wish nothing but the best for DJ. Never understand how they couldn’t get his confidence back. Would we have done anything if we made the CFP? Probably not, but the absolute stubbornness of our coaching staff easily cost us the coot game and a chance to get in.
