The game has changed unfortunately. Pre NIL when the Tigers made the top 3, they landed a lot of those players. With NIL, unless this house settlement gets passed, we just can't spend with those schools. Hopefully we can get 1 or 2 that truly love Clemson and aren't chasing just money. I just don't get excited about these recruiting stories a year out anymore. It's not even print worthy news with NIL. Even after signing day guys are leaving programs.

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought all of that was changing? Is Clemson not in position to offer $$$$ that is comparable to other elite programs ?

It’s always a good thing for Clemson to be among a small group of finalists for a top shelf recruit.

At the very worst, Khamari Brooks’ having Clemson in his final three illustrates that top end players consider Clemson to be a top end program. In other words, at the worst, this is good P.R.

To the naysayers out there, Sammy Brown could have gone anywhere he waned. He did not mmediately commit to us after we offered him. The moral of this story is that being in the hunt means that you might just get the trophy.

It's amazing how well these recruits can tackle while in HS, but when they get to college, they can't remember what tackling technique they used while in HS playing HS FB...
