Mitchell and Reed tested the waters, as they should've, but they were always likely to return to Clemson. People who posted otherwise, even those who claim to be "close to the program," were wrong on this one.
I'm glad they were, because our prospects for another Sweet 16 trip (and hopefully beyond) in 2019 just got a lot better! Go Tigers!

For those who still believe that Brad isn't a good recruiter, Reed and Mitchell returning should help change your mind. Brad just recruited the best backcourt in the ACC to return for their senior seasons, despite both having already graduated and both being able to easily go to Europe now and make very good money. That's huge!
Let's give credit where credit is due - this is a great recruiting job by our coaches.

That gives us a great mix of veteran talent and young potential. If we want to go small, we can go with Mitchell, Reed, Oliver, Simms, and Thomas.

CBB knows he has a great setup for 2018/2019, but he has to recruit several quality backcourt players to sustain the program's growth. It will be quite interesting to see what direction the staff pursues to sign either frosh or transfers.
