I am curious about all the hype behind Usc. I thought they lost like 35 players from last year and I do not see where they are just killing it in the portal.

They did pretty well in the portal and out recruited us in 2024. Mostly due to their recruiting class was much larger than ours.

Because they lose very little at all on offense and will have a more experienced line, plus Stewart will be more seasoned and they got some good guys in the portal to plug holes. Don’t think they’ll miss all of those leaving as much as we hope they do.

1. They are not mashing people.
2. They surprised people last year and their schedule, which looked wicked, turned to be a plus because
of the circumstances such as Texas A&M playing the coots right giving their all to the Texas game.
3. The coots bowl game showed the country how to defend Sellars. He is their offense.
4. They lost almost all of their respectable defense.
5. You can't assemble a good team with a lot of transfers because of the inability to jell in a short
period of time in most cases.

Looking at their schedule the cawks have a stretch against Bama, Ole Miss, Texas AM, OU, LSU. Then sprinkle in Missouri and Kentucky who over the years have beaten the mid-state knuckleheads soundly. Finished off by a much deserved thrashing by Clemson. They'll be lucky to make a bowl game. But anyhoo..whatevs.

SC is not sniffing the playoffs. It’s almost as if media guys don’t look at rosters. They just see how good sellers was and say oh he’s coming back. They’ll be just as good. That D is going back to being below average. Their offense won’t improve because they don’t have any play makers outside of Sellers. I’m smelling a sophomore slump for Sellers this year.
