I’m no self proclaimed expert, on the subject but I’m of the belief that being in his shoes, I would have come back for another year. I sorta roll the dice occasionally, and with a little QB production (I hoping for) next year, I think he may have benefited like some others that chose to return.

If DJ is throwing the ball, I’d rather leave too. Not worth the gamble hoping he gets benched.

Neither am I an expert rivercat, so I agree that J.Ross would have had a truly excellent chance of having a BIG YEAR in 2022 had he stayed for his final year with us.
I can imagine, with his serious major injury that nearly ended his FB playing days, and with a variety of lesser nagging injuries that reduced his playing time in 2021, that he figured he could still capitalize on the NFL's memory of his superior 2018 season and perhaps be a mid-round draft pick.
However, if he suffered another year of nagging injuries that reduced his playing time, J.Ross might be staring down the possibility of being a UDFA, and then having to regain enough of his health to win a spot on a NFL roster.
If I'm to be honest with myself, then I think he made the correct decision to go NFL now.
As with all well-thought-out decisions, the risk vs. reward components must be taken into consideration.

That money right now pulls those young guys to making mistakes with their young future, but they will grow up if given the chance with a NFL team. But there will be more crying on their mom's shoulders asking why, and the coaching staff will be blamed bc their families will be telling them the reason they're saying they're not ready, is to help them win on their team, and when they fail, it will be bc their college level coaches failed them!!!

Still believe his ceiling is higher than Tee's.
Hopefully he finds a good landing spot. I'd really love it if the Jags drafted him if he falls to the 3rd round.

Would love to see him reunite with TL as well. Unless he blows them away at the combine, he may fall to the 4th or later.

Agreeing with you in part LeonTrotsky®, in my belief that J.Ross is more talented than T.Higgins.
Unfortunately for J.Ross ... although apparently making a full recovery from his neck problem (ala Mike Willians) ... his 2021 season made him look brittle.
T.Higgins never had the misfortune of appearing to be brittle at Clemson.
If you're hurt, then you can't play; if you can't play, then you can't be a star.
Higgins had played without major health problems; Ross hasn't had similar good fortune. Taking the likelihood of good health into the equation, then the potential of T.Higgins exceeds that of J.Ross.

This will be a wait-and-see …
Is Ross medically 100%? Is Ross still able to sky high? What are Ross stop-start shuttle times? What is 40 time? NFL teams will do lots of homework on Ross. If JR8 is healthy and approaches Tee Higgins’ NFL production that would be outstanding. I’m pulling for him.

Doesn't matter how much talent you have if you're always hurt. I hate it for the guy but the NFL is much tougher than college so its hard to imagine him making it through a season.

Considering everything, it is with sadness that I must agree with you NCTIgerFan23.
