Now that makes sense. Can't wait to follow you and Chase at your new homes. You got the training, time to take the wheels off and ball. Finish the journey.
I remember how stoked everyone on tnet was when you committed to Clemson. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger, right.

With the DB transfers...why the fear?

Are they accepting that they will not be getting better at Clemson or are they fearful of the guys coming in 2021 class being better than them right now? With the secondary being a weak spot IMO, you'd think they would welcome the opportunity to challenge for more playing time at Clemson. The Mike Jones, Jr. thing is mind boggling to me too-- does he think Trotter & Co. are going to take his spot??

Who knows what is going on in the minds of these young men, but I do wish them well. They have made their choices, and we don't know the conversations they had with the coaching staff about their future at Clemson. We will be fine. Hopefully, they will be, as well.

Williams was a 3rd string corner.
We did't lose anybody and we brought in a couple of DBs.
If he wants to play, why would he think anything would change here?
Also, our safety play was a weak spot and there is room to shake up the depth chart there.
We are loaded and talented at corner!

Part of the reason for transferring to Marshall, Williams is reunited with a pair of high school teammates running back Sheldon Evans and defensive end Koby Cumberlander.
Marshall has a new coach, Huff was the RB coach at 'bamer last year and is highly regarded as a recruiter. It's his 1st stint as a HC and us Herd Faithful are excited. Off the field issues and a divided locker room last season looks to be cleaned up in a hurry. The alleged trouble makers entered the portal as soon as Huff was named head coach.
Williams will likely face off against Chase Brice @ Appy St in September. I wish them both great success, just not Brice on 9/25.

He is running out of eligibility and wants to get on the field.
He was already losing playing time and places on the depth chart to guys younger than him at Clemson.
Williams seems to be a great kid and it's hard to fault him for being self-aware and wanting to find a different place to get on the field before his time is up.
