Somewhat surprised Clemson UGA game didn't make the list. But at the same time I'm not surprised because of the absolute absence of offense in that game by either team.

True!

But, the football purest would love it at the same time "most highlight only fans" would hate it. The game isn't one big highlight after another! It's often one play setting up another! It's finding a match-up on offense you can exploit and take advantage of. Both defenses were so good very few matchups could be exploited.

-defensive-minded football fans anyway! Like me.

Let me guess. . .the top 20 games were all SEC matchups, with 1 and 2 being the National Championship game and the SEC Championship game? I don’t have access to the subscriber content, but would be curious to know how close to true that is.

I think the Big 12 ended up having the most in the top-50. Pretty well distributed overall. No. 1 was Ole Miss-Arkansas and No. 2 was the Rose Bowl.

I think the Baylor/Oklahoma State game was the best one this season. A classic right down to the gut wrenching wire.
