The Palmetto Series is presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery. Clemson holds a 6-1 record against the Gamecocks, including an 4-0 record in Columbia. Tuesday's game marks the first time the two programs will meet in Columbia in the month of March, as the home-and-home series traditionally started in Clemson each year. BROWNIE POINTS Senior Alex Brown joined the Clemson roster prior to the 2024 season after transferring from North Carolina. Starting in all 33 games at either third base or in the outfield and in the lead off spot in the 2025 season, she has clocked a .434 average with 46 hits, a .632 slugging percentage, a .527 on-base percentage and eight stolen bases. The senior tied her career high with four hits in a single game against Missouri State on Feb. 9 and again in the first game against Syracuse. She is coming off a perfect 10-for-10 weekend against Syracuse that included two doubles, one home run, six runs, five RBIs, 1.500 slugging percentage, three walks and a 1.000 on-base percentage without striking out. She clocked her first career grand slam in the second inning against Charleston Southern on March 5 becoming the second Tiger in 2025 to hit a grand slam. From February 13 to March 9, Brown reached base in 19 straight games, the fifth longest streak in Clemson history. Following Syracuse, she is on a seven-game streak. From February 22 to March 7, Brown also scored in 10 straight games, a school record.
