"I love this place, I've got a spot already picked out where I want 'em to put me when I die - up there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays; then I won't have to go Heaven; I'll already be there."- Frank Howard
No, all still there and God centered, but like all affiliated w this mostly awesome 14 year ride, he has gotten a bit fat and happy, “nearly” full of himself, and a bit distracted.
What we really need back is the Dabo from 7 weeks earlier, on his FIRST day, who made the difficult, but correct decision to let Rob Spence go and move in a different direction
Whether Streetor is to blame or Dabo has been too involved, that combo has certainly failed Clemson w their decisions (at least last year they adjusted to terrible QB play by focusing on run to close the year w success - same remedy, w Cade at helm more, if not solely, should have been accepted after Syracuse)
Luckily, Dabo IS one to fix what is broken and is capable of fixing all here. 11-3 is not the issue as much as the frustration over HOW, by just focusing on strengths, accepting and moving on from glaring weaknesses AND resisting the temptation to stupidly try (since we mostly failed to execute) needless “trick” plays, things could have been so much better.
