That seems like shady behavior from Sitton Buick. I know if I had a Buick, I'd reconsider taking it to Sitton Buick for service. Sitton Buick should rethink this practice. If I recently purchased a Buick, or was in the market for a 2024 Buick, I wouldn't want to take it to a place with a service department that overcharges like they appear to do at Sitton Buick based on your post.

How many miles does he have on it?
Aren't motor mounts part of the power train? Which is unusually covered longer than anything else.

The worst part is the symptom he was having doesn’t sound like a motor mount to me. Car stuff might be one of the few things on this planet that I would say I have legit expertise in, and he still just goes there and accepts their diagnosis and charges with nary a phone call. Maddening

Took my wife's in to the dealer for her free oil change and they came back with almost $2k worth of work that was 'recommended'.
Has he had to replace his injectors yet? My dad's on set #3 to the tune of ~ $400 a piece. He's got a Yukon of the same vintage as your dad's Suburban. It makes all sorts of horrible noises upon start up now, I barely trust it to make it to Greenville. I give it 6 months until it dies forever, granted it does have 200k on it.

only place what would touch it is the dealer

They're really good, but there's a lot of noise in the air about some folks over there not liking a full-service gas and garage with cars sitting waiting to be worked on.
Some people in the 05 love them, but there are elitist clowns everywhere, I guess.

He went by the Ford dealer in Mooresville and was told it would cost $1000 to replace it. The whole freaking car ain't worth $4500 so he "declined" their offer. I found a $60 replacement camera on Amazon and will be replacing it for him this weekend.
It's incredible what some of these dealers will do to rip people off.
