night? What did you think of our Tigers’ play?

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

For me...

they didn't quit even after going through a lengthy scoring drought and getting way behind.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

They didn't quit and Simms, Mack and Scott played

very well down the stretch and in OT. One small issue I had was that we had a chance to put the game away on the FT line in OT and missed 4 straight.

But TCU is a decent team so come March, that will hopefully be a nice non-conference neutral floor win.

Winning tonight against a ranked Colorado would be even better.

This was a game that earlier Tiger teams likely would have lost. I’m sure that the team will continue to improve and getting Trapp back will help a lot. This tea is very young but plays with a lot of determination. Dawes was a good catch imo. These midnight games from the other coast are tough on old guys but I’ll be tuned in tonite. Colorado would be a big plus if we can the win.

Yeah FT was glaring and it was guys who normally would make them. I think as TCU stalled out (mostly due to our D), they panicked. We didnt even though it wasnt a smooth hit shot after shot run by us. I think the World U games this summer helped that immensely in that regard. We need more that just 3 t shooting. If we can develop that we can do ok I think

Go to bkball threads and you will find a lot of subjects on it. Thought we showed lot of grit. With tough defense and big shots to win it. Hope that win can give us a lot of confidence moving forward.

Mack was great, but as a unit I did not think we played very well until the last 2 minutes of regulation and overtime. My opinion is Simms needs to play more with his back to the basket, he is taking too many 3's, spacing as a unit was bad letting TCU pack the lane. If you are going to be a shooting 3's team, your spacing is going to need to be great, to allow dribble penetration and passing out for the 3. Those young guards will get better and hopefully we'll get Trapp back sooner than later.

Aamir isn’t big enough to play like a traditional

Nov 26, 2019, 12:26 PM

Center with his back to the basket, Simms is at his best when he is playmaking and getting others involved. I’d like to see us clear out the lane and make it a 1v1 with him and a much slower center then the center has a decision to make he can either stay around the free throw line thus giving Aamir a wide open three, or the center can play tight defense on Aamir preventing the three, but leaving the lane open which allows Aamir to use his speed to get around the slower center giving him a chance to either try to finish at the rim or find an open three point shooter on the three point line.

They can't shoot.
They were playing another team that can't shoot and someone had to win.

They did play solid defense and the effort was there.

But, they can't shoot. They missed layups and 6 ft open shots just like the Va Tech game.

Clemson is 2nd in the ACC in 3-pointers made per game. I think that is "shooting" just fine.
