There are so many reasons

Nov 7, 2014, 2:05 PM

we would've lost the game last night not so many years ago.

Bad start to the game (quick out, int, quick out) and give up TD early usually sets the tone.

Turnovers - How many times do you win turning the ball over twice on our end and taking none? which brings us to...

Field position - Theirs. Two redzone turnovers equal two TDs for them, Wind in 2nd quarter helped them. Then AH misplays another punt allowing them to kill it inside the 1 yd line.

Penalties - like turnovers, we were killed by penalties that were opportune for them which brings us to...

Zebras - Conspiracy or not, from the field to the booth they were definitely not Clemson fans

Away game on Thursday night. just sayin...

We won, again, 6 in a row, in spite of all those issues.

We've lost that game so many times over the last 20some years and I'm tickled to get out of it with another W.

I said the same thing last night. Tommy Bowden's Clemson teams would have lost that one.

Agree...We HAVE turned the corner

The last four games were definitely Tommy Bowden "specials" were his team would find a way to lose.

we've turned one corner

we still have to turn the FSU/SCU corner

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

SCU isn't a corner, more like a bend in the road.***

Re: Yep. Not just last night, either.

You could make an argument that previous teams of not so long ago would have lost the Louisville, BC, and Syracuse games as well. Hopefully, this year's team can do something that hasn't been done in quite a while...win against GT in Atlanta. GO TIGERS!

agreed. I would say the previous 3 teams were much better than WF though. Point is, we've lost to some bad teams over the years.
