Appears all the early enrollees really attacked the weight room

Ruke and ET put on some weight, Ladson beefed up, Ngata is huge, Lay has the makings of a freak, OL got bigger.
Wish KJ was higher than 251 but still good. Mascoll up in the 260’s is big. Top 4 DT’s all appear to be good size and carry their weight well.

Good size but still a bit smaller than last year. Last year our top 4 DTs averaged 312 lbs, this year they average 298 lbs. Now Big Dex did skew that number a little bit, but our 3 of our top 4 DTs last year weighed more than our heaviest this year. Also Pinckney lost weight.

Wow..... if that's good weight on Jaelyn Lay at 273 lbs, put him in at TE from the get-go and let him learn fast. Give him all the work possible, blocking, running routes and catching. Work him hard! He could be a brute of a TE.

Jumbo package will already be on the field - no need to sub..... put him at H-back, motion him to the center of the line as fake point-of-attack blocker and give him a shovel pass. Who's gonna get in front of it?

* Put him at H-back, shift him to a hip-stack and give it to him on the dive or counter.
* Put him at H-back, shift him to Power-I as TB and let him follow Etienne and cut to where the crease is.
* Put him at H-back, shift him to 3 back formation Power-I as hip-stacked HB with Renscher at FB, Etienne at TB, run Power Blast - sooooo many Power-I plays to run with an H-back of that size:

273 if worked hard during Fall camp will be 255-260 by the first game of the season. 260 is a good weight for a 6'6" athlete used as a blocker with occasional pass-catching duties. I'll take him on my team.

but looks like he is in the best shape of his life... if he can carry the weight and stay healthy, I believe he is going to be a very pleasant surprise for us at DT!
