The way they talk about the SEC one would think; "nobody has a chance against a school that dons SEC patches on their jerseys"!

It's ridiculous!

Go ahead and get your bets in now. Between the teams who don't want to be there and players who choose not to play those lines will shift quickly.

We have certainly heard that before. I forgot what game but we were talking about a team that lost who had a couple players sit in order to get ready for the draft.
"The fella insisted I couldn't really count that win as a win"! As I looked at him like he was crazy; he went on to say, "because they would have won if those players had played"! Which is completely not something you can prove.
More SEC-Logic!

SEC teams have had some good bowl years; but have mostly looked very average! No more playing sun belt OOC or a low tier ACC squad even ACC teams beat. Now, you have to play somebody with a pulse OOC. Their formula: play soft OOC then play each other after having been ranked high pre-season! It guarantees conference teams are highly regarded even in a loss because they beat or lost to "a ranked team"!
