He'd be a huge upgrade on what we have.
We absolutely should offer. I think he'd be a good 1-year-rental that would give Cade some time to grow into the program without having to carry it on his lonesome.

guess you missed the memo Q. so unlike you. i thought you knew everything. dabo said we would not be taking a qb from the portal. guess you want to alienate the guy that was just named player of the year right off the bat huh.

they know their destination before hitting the portal, through contact, which is against the rules, so i think that is the part that dabo doesnt like, the cheating part

I'd say a high "ok-ish" at best. He had a lot more talent around him than USC.

Any QB like that in the portal is looking for a guarantee they will start.
With our situation, we aren't handing out any guarantees and we shouldn't.
DJ may be serviceable. If he's not, develop Klubnik.
Find a 3 star portal guy/grad transfer who is decent and bring him in for depth or as an emergency starter if everything else fails.

Don't need another QB ? We have DJ, an incoming freshman, and 2 walk ons. One more is definitely needed.
