the FANS. We need to stop clinging to our 65-41 game lead in the series, and stop bringing up nearly decade old accomplishments like 63-17.

Guys look, I get that historically we own the coots and I respect all those accomplishments by past Clemson coaches. There is certainly a tangible worth to those accomplishments and it gives me pride as Clemson alum.

However, those past accomplishments have absolutely NOTHING to do with the current state of affairs in our rivalry.

South Carolina has passed us in the short term. A 2-game streak could be written off as a fluke, anomaly, whatever but a 4-game streak is a clear trend.

South Carolina has gone all out by landing a hall of fame head coach, and giving the athletics program whatever they need to be successful. They also benefit from playing tougher competition throughout the year than we do. I think our team is great when facing mediocre to bad defenses, but we are not battle-tested against elite defenses.

We as FANS have to absolutely demand the best from clemson football, and demand that beating the coots is a priority. That starts with acknowledging that they own us right now, and doing everything we can to rectify that as soon as possible.
