I am going to get a used 2023, pay cash, and it will be something along the lines of these three practical cars. I just want simple. What would you take? I am not asking manac, because I know he is a billionaire and would never drive this junk. Anyone else have an opinion on them, if the images even show up..

drive. My BIL and SIL had a CX-9 and loved it and miss it. TL;DR - Mazdas can be fun to drive.

APM himself owns a fleet of Toys - Camry, Sienna, Corolla, Prius. Reliability-wise, you will never go wrong with a Toy. I would look for a hybrid RAV.

Got out of the market for a car 16 months ago, and knew what I was looking for

well over a year before that, so I haven't bothered to keep up...but what I do know is that the Honda Accord is a good car but it's a car. I don't want to sit that low in my everyday driver or on long highway trips. RAV4 is a good car and a little taller, but it was much smaller overall than I wanted. I think they're generally pretty bulletproof and last forever though. The Mazda CX9 would be my choice of the three, it's a good everyday driver but a good long-distance cruiser as well. They're zippy, quality-made, and maybe one of the best combinations of sporty driving and SUV size and stance. Coming from a Mazda CX5, the CX9 was on my shortlist before deciding on the Nissan Armada. I wasn't commuting to and from work so gas mileage wasn't an issue, I just wanted the big safe comfy highway cruiser. That said, pretty sure I would have been happy with the CX9 if I'd gone that route.

runner up. Excellent reliability ratings, safety ratings, and resale value but just slightly smaller than what I had in mind, this the Armada. If I was still working and had to commute, I probably would have gone that route.

Mazda is better looking and more fun than the Rav4 (assuming you're okay driving a Mazda).

Toyota RAV4, Honda Accord, or a Mazda CX-9?

My order would be:

Honda Accord, Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-9.

But the Honda and Toyota are both good pics.

Kind of depends if you need the SUV space. If not, and a sedan is fine, the Honda. If you need an SUV/crossover for space, the RAV4.

Can't go wrong with any of those choices.

Sedan versus two SUVs should allow you to easily narrow your choice to either 2 choices or 1. Unless you need the extra room of an SUV, if the Honda is the cheapest option, that's the one I'd consider.

But, I have friends who've owned all three of those cars and they all seem happy with them (or at least, I haven't heard complaints) so it probably comes down to the individual car and deal you can get.
