Instead of all of this uprooting traditional conferences that in my opinion ruin the fabric of college football, what would keep the ACC, Big10, Big12, and PAC10 from banding together and putting the SEC on an island? No CFP, no inter conference play, no bowl tie ins with SEC.
That's exactly what should happen, starting with the CFP...

If the playoff remains at four teams, no more than one per conference. If it expands to eight or more, still no more than two per conference.
Even before this SEC expansion move, I couldn't understand why everyone seemed to be all in with the 12 playoff, with no limit to the number of teams per conference. That would be playing right into the hands of the SEC, even without their expansion! Even without adding OK & TX, the SEC was looking forward to have 5 or 6 teams in a 12 team playoff.
It is time to do what is best for college football in the long run, not what is best for the SEC!
