1) Cade is going to develop into s top tier QB, if he can continue the trajectory he’s been on since the Duke game. Permitting OL play holds up. Which leads to my next point…
2) OL is solid in pass pro but horrendous in run blocking. Riley needs to come up with innovative ways to run the football because the straight up inside zone run isn’t going to cut it.
3) Tyler Brown may be the best WR on the roster, and that includes a healthy Antonio.
4) We have to find a way to get Brown and Stellato on the field at the same time more often. They make the pass attack much better.
5) Jake B has been a disappointment the early part of this year. He had a lot of talk and hype coming into this season and it’s been a bunch of the same production from TEs at Clemson in recent memory.
6) Clemson is fielding a National Championship caliber Defense. I think an argument can be made that they are top to bottom, the best defense in the country easily. Especially when Wes is calling an aggressive game and we’re getting pressure.
7) The kicking experiment needs to end. Gunn needs to be doing the kicking going forward, for better or for worse. If he really is the future PK on the roster, no need to waste a year of development for a “feel good story.”
8) The Turnover issue is a serious problem. I attributed it originally to early season football, learning a new system, etc. but it’s starting to become a concerning trend.
9) I think the little bit of adversity the team faced when Cuse was trying to claw their way back in the game will be good for this team. It’s the first instance they’ve gotten this season of facing some adversity and pulling thru and getting a W.
10) Lastly, this team is improving. I see a trend more upward than I do downward and feel a bit more optimistic than I did earlier in the season.
