We lucked into playing. All because of coaching. If we beat Texas I'll gladly eat some deep fried crow but I feel pretty good with my chances.

I think his nonuse of the portal is a bigger issue right now than coaches

(although I'm not 100% sold on Riley) but I get the sense/feeling he'll start using it more soon. The only decline that he has to fix and that will cause us to drift back to mediocrity (we aren't there yet) is the acquisition of talent.
We didn't win 2 national titles because our coaching staff was the best across the board (we really only had elite coaches on the D-side of the ball) but what we had was elite talent and that's clearly not the case anymore.
And in this new NIL world, I'm not sure if we can get back to elite levels again.

even with the prudence of a pilgrim. It's a combination of nepotism within the program, intentional lack of experience with the coaches, and a wildly outmoded attitude about the portal that's got "for sale" signs in the Amazon shopping carts. Never mind how long it took us to figure out NIL while the rest of the ACC burns down around us.

IRDGAF bout winning championships.
Play sound, aggressive football. Step on the field like you expect to beat your opponent so bad they quit on you.
Sitting here telling my wife what we're gonna run, when we run it, for the 69th fogging time in last 5 years is making it unwatchable.
You can be who you are and innovate your game.
There's no apparent hunger or swagger from the team. Don't ##### at us for that being reflected in the fanbase.
Could be a me problem. Maybe my expectations are too high, and I'm fine with that...but I know I'm not alone as my non-Lounge bros are all saying the same thing (and most of them played for Dabo)

I haven't written off Dabo adapting over the next couple of years. I think the 2026 class will let me know whether I should still believe though. As of now, I still do.

Where some odd motivation is sought in playing “us against them” with a significant portion of the fan base and where pleas to hire to experience over familiarity (my main ask) and maybe cherry pick from the portal a little bit (most people’s main ask) becomes “fire everybody, I’m stupid, and do it like everybody else!”
Yawn. I ain’t even getting mad. You can set your watch to this stuff now.

But a win doesn't change what we all see on the field no matter how much Dabo likes to hang his hat on symbolism.

Never said we were doomed.
From a logic standpoint, squeaking into a playoff game by the skin of our teeth and a lot of luck also isn’t mutually exclusive from having problems inside the program that need addressing. Both can be true.
Ike and Tina were turning out a ton of hits while he was beating the crap out of her at home.

Don't care if he spouts them in this circumstance, but picking the top 10 factoids would be sufficient.
I'm on the Dabo bus, but some of the common complaints ring true to me: A. Zero (zip, nada, none) use of portal. II. couple coaching hires (Wes, Grisham, CJ are the ones still on staff) Grisham seems to have tighten up this yr. As an aside, some of the friends and fam out on the non-coaching side don't concern me much. 3. Offense Play calling overrides. All HC's do this some as their prerogative, but Dabo is excessive in this.
I'm not going to Austin, would be a great trip. Saving my monies for a trip to the Natty if we can get there.

We go conservative. The occasional trick play, all coaches do. The "Clemson Offense" as some say, is Dabo play calling the whole game, I don't buy that. But that ain't a Waffle House menu he's looking at when we've got the ball.
