Glad to hear it. 21 years, 2 surgeries and more radiation treatments than I care to count (the radiation is worse than the surgery) me too. I screen every year. I drive home once a year from M.D. Anderson moved to tears by being exposed to what I call “the ghost children” and their families. It’s always just too much to see. “There but for the grace of God go I”, rings in my head all the way home.

I might not be here if I didn't. If I had waited for symptoms it wouldn't have been pretty. About 1 out of 20 people will get colon or rectal cancer. It is one cancer that is very preventable. Polyps are removed before they turn into cancer or in cases like me, the cancer was caught in an early stage and was treated with surgery. Symptoms don't show up until late stages and then it is very deadly.

My last CT on 12/18 showed no progression from the one 10/6, and maybe we're onto something with this "MK7684-001 Stuff" and Keytruda. We take it a day at a time.

I too have heard the doctor say “cancer”. It was a scary thing to hear but it was found early. Praise to God!
