had won FOUR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN A ROW, and was going for Number Five in the WCWS this year. But, they got beat, first by Texas, and then last night by Texas Tech, which knocked them out of the tournament. Now, in the world of womens sports, this is a BIG DEAL!
I opened the ESPN App this am, expecting to see a big story about it, right? WRONG! Since it was a Big 12 team that knocked out the suddenly SEC team, what I saw was the score, period. The story itself was just a brief article, mixed in with other articles about much lesser stuff. The law at ESPN is, apparently, you do NOT publicize when an SEC team FAILS at ANYTHING, only when they succeed. I LOL in their general direction.
This was the reason for my post last night "Ding Dong, the witch is DEAD!" for those who may not follow womens sports, softball specifically.

Yep, if there is such a thing, they are, at least to this point in time, getting

their money's worth out of their NIL dollars. That pitcher made a big splash as being the "first million dollar college softball player". Whether that is technically true or not, I leave to peoples more reclined than me to check out.

That was a fun game to watch. TT's pitcher was flaming them all night, then

I went to get a shower and it was all of a sudden 2-2. TT then did the unthinkable and beat OU.
Do we pull for Texas since they knocked Clemson out or TT since they are not SEC?
Feels weird to pull for a team that may only be there because they splashed ALOT of cash for a pitcher, but that is the new normal, maybe.

They may cancel Omaha with the SEC carnage that took place in the regionals.

Thankfully, the remaining SEC teams were ranked so highly, that they will be able to host their Super-Regional matchups.
If they had to go on the road for the Super-Regionals, it may have been a slaughter-fest.

If my calculations are correct, they can only get 3 teams in the CWS

And Auburn might not have a cake walk with Coastal.
Arkansas should beat Tenn
LSU should beat WVU
If we aint gonna make it, give me some CCU, Murray State, or UTSA. I used to be an Arizona fan as a kid, too.
