It should make you sick to your stomach that several members of congress' uptick in investing in military stock.
We need to get the trash out of congress and ban stock trading by its members.

Some of them are so old they are dying right in front of us while others are seizing during interviews. You've got corruption on both sides of the aisles and guess who takes the brunt of it, we pesky middle class American families. Wake up.

You’re right! There was a survey out not too long ago asking voters their overall favorability of Congress. Of course, it was extremely low. Then they asked them their opinion of their local Representative/Senator. They liked/respected “their own” but thought everyone else’s was the problem.
I would personally like to have all of mine primaried out.

The entire political system is rigged for the incumbents to always get re-elected. Here in South Carolina, we have Lindsay Graham, a war mongering RINO of the worst kind but we cannot get rid of him due to the crossover voting in primaries. He will always be re-elected as long as he lives and will continue to RINO his way into the history books, changing positions depending on which way the wind is blowing and the money is flowing.

Only reason Graham re-elected last time was black person Pelosi bought to run against was terrible and mostly Yankee. SC needs Mace to replace him next term.

Term limits, ban stock trading (including spouses), cut some of the ridiculous benefits and maybe an age restriction. Get people in there who want to make a change and not a fortune.

Totally agree!! Also, I would add........Make Lobbying and corporate or private donations to politicians in any form, ILLEGAL. Get the money out of politics and the grifters will go away. Make politics a part time activity again with little pay, as it was originally intended, not a career to steal wealth from the people.

Because they are all flaming left wing limo liberals and they always hide or lie until elected. If RFKJ were elected, not only would he drop his sheep's outfit and don the wolf suit, but all the Kennedy family would be back in gov't positions again in an instant, wreaking havoc as they always do, since old Fat Teddy took the Family Business so far to the left, they have to look right to see a communist.

That's a billion dollar question. People being lazy and media (pick your choice) have only talking points. Very few vote. Probably 90% just push a R or D and have zero clue what said candidate has actually done. Too bad we can't clone a couple thousand Dabo's and send them to either isle. Local, all the way up.
Although, I will have to say, and I'm biased because she was my boss, but Nikki wouldn't be bad. Sad thing is the prez has very little power. Still, our democracy is the best thing going but it's not even close to what the founding fathers had in mind.

would be for voters to march to the polls next year and vote every member of Congress out of office...all of them with a caveat to incoming members: "Watch your steps OR YOU'RE GONNA BE NEXT!"
I'm over 76, so I can say this: it's time for the geriatric crowd in D.C. to retire and go home...all of them, We don't need 80-year-olds in the White House or Congress, and I mean those now in office or campaigning. It doesn't mean they have to retire to porch rockers: they can still work, contribute and/or advise. But as JFK said, the torch needs to be passed to the next generation.
The vehemency among our politicians, and particularly, their penchant for giving voice to extremely small groups with extremist agendas is appalling enough; the lack of spine is despicable, for what they all fail to grasp is the fact that the overwhelming majority of the American people are moderate in thinking, constructive members of our society who practice the old America tradition of getting along with their neighbors. Washington is anything but that...a fact that I am convinced contributes to the lack of morality so evident throughout our nation. Despicable is the word I use to describe the entire sordid mess,

Yep after about 6 years you are bought by some type of special interest group. I’m not sure many realize how corrupt Washington is. Most have never had real jobs yet they have big money and assets. Barely afford what I have and have worked over 30 years. Need a cleansing with term limits. With these cultural changes though there really is no middle ground these days.

The war is against The Hamas terrorist, not Palestine. The terrorist are occupying Palestine. The real war is against Iran. Destroying Hamas will not stop the terrorist, until Iran is dealt with. It would help if Biden would stop sending them money.

It's way more complicated than that. Hamas is a POS, but the people there are pissed. It's an open-air prison in the Gaza Strip. People are not allowed to come and go but at the whims of Israel.
I worked at an very nice boarding school founded by the King of Jordan. One of my advisees was from Palestine and she missed a month of school trying to get back into Jordan for the new school year.
Jerks like Hamas rise to power because of the anger the people in Palestine feel. It doesn't condone being a piece of shyt terriorist, but there is a cause and effect here.

Very few politicians that make it to the national level have good intentions. The ones that do owe so many favors that the can’t keep their word. Both parties control so much $ that an independent will never stand a chance. Sad.

I agree! In New Jersey, the FBI raided Robert Menendez's (D-NJ) home! They found gold bars and $400k in cash! Not bribes, but old school investing! I am sure the IRS does'nt agree. He is being set up by haters and will be exonerated in his words! LOL He also was linked to Jeffrey Epstein's underage sex trips with the Bill Clinton and others! Dead men tell no lies!

To be honest, it is kind of a practical investment. We’ve given away so much of our weapons stockpile that Congress is going to have to spend a bunch of money to replenish it and defense contractors are going to be the beneficiaries.
