Return of Feast Mode: Surgery set for Tavien Feaster
Tavien Feaster played the last two seasons of his high school career with a torn labrum, and a confining shoulder brace limited his mobility. Despite the injury and brace, however, Feaster still went out and became one of the top running backs in the country and now he’s ready to show what he can do when healthy. Full Story » |

Played with a torn labrum for two seasons?!?

I had a torn labrum when I was 35 for about 3 months before I found out what it was and had it fixed. It didn't hurt consistently, but when my shoulder moved or was touched in certain common ways it was a bolt of the sharpest pain I've ever felt in my life. Playing with that for TWO SEASONS? JEEEZUS!

Sometimes you look at tape for a guy that is supposedly fast...

But it just doesn't appear that way on tape. Feaster is not like that. He has elite, record-breaking speed. At 6' 200lbs running a sub-4.35 40, he is a freak athlete. Some of those plays looked like he wasn't even running full speed and he still was gaining separation rapidly. Can't wait to see him in orange. It's a great time to be a Tiger.

Just wondering- If by signing with us does he now get the surgery done by a Clemson Dr. and Clemson is able to pay for it? Anyone know? TIA

I was wondering the same thing
Feb 10, 2016, 11:50 AM

and did he purposefully wait to let Clemson do it for him? What insurance pays for stuff like this? Or who pays in general? I was on my dad's health plan in college, are these kids on some athletic insurance plan or anyone know how that works?

The Main Thing is he is getting this done ... BUT

I understand he was "hard headed" by not getting it done last year. However, I'm wondering why this wasn't done a month ago (the 2nd week of January). Would have given himself a 6-7 week head start on Rehab.

Wayne Gallman and Tavien Feaster lining up together in the backfield! Maybe on occasion put Christian Wilkins in at the same time at tight end. Watch out! Fun Stuff!
