That was obvious all year. There was zero killer instinct,

especially on the defensive line. The defense underperformed our talent level.
This is the main reason I'm skeptical about this year. I think the offense will be at least a year away from carrying us. Unless the defense finds some fire, I don't expect it to be much better.
Porkchop seems like a savant, but if you can't motivate players then it won't matter much.

Bresee lollygagged behind plays something fierce and was never healthy enough long enough to help.
XT seems snake bit.
And MM opted out of the Orange Bowl.
Talent on par with the Power Rangers but nowhere near the heart or desire.
Character was sorely missing. Some things can't be coached. And those guys had several years under BV's guidance.
Now, are Poke Chop's schemes on par with BV's? Hail no. But whose are? BV was our best coach.
