I was in the hospital last week. Went to ER with abdominal pain and they figured appendicitis and took me in for laproscopy. Turns out my appendix had burst days before and infection had spread throughout my abdomen with necrosis and I was going into sepsis. They then cut me wide open to clean everything out for 3 hours. IV antibiotics are a lifesaver. And many prayers from our church family. I had the staples taken out today and am recovering at home. Won't be back to work for some more weeks.
The periodic table thing kind of needs my laptop to put together. But I had my phone and could check in to TNet to help kill the boredom while in the hospital. I probably won't be taking the periodic table thing back up. Just relaxing now.

Yeah, they couldn't believe I just walked into the ER like that. Had never been hospitalized before, never even had a broken bone. Must have been in shock because the pain after surgery was worse than anything I felt in the days before. I had some pain last week, but it wasn't on the lower right, so I thought it was a flareup of diverticulitis, which I had a few years ago. Because infection had spread all across my abdomen, it didn't point directly to the appendix.

Dang man , I know about the appendix, had a family member go through it, sounds like you went through the whole gamet of problems, with infection and being sepsis... People die from that , I'm sure you have been made aware... Did they tell you what caused it? Hope you are recovering well my friend.. Hang in there .

A so-so season with an interesting twist. Since the ACC required South Carolina to forfeit all ACC games, one could argue that Clemson was 6-4. But the true record was really 5-5.

Clemson lost the game against South Carolina 17-16. Technically the game against South Carolina was awarded to Clemson, but it was never really a win.

Isn't it a sense of irony, USuC has to forfeit a 17-16 victory to Clemson, also NC State, which gave Clemson and NC State the ACC TITLE, because of eligibility. That curse has followed them chickens forever 😆😂😆

There is no #60 for Clemson this year so I am going back to cover a player I haven’t covered yet.
Todays player spotlight is #95 Amare Adams. He is a true freshmen defensive tackle for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.
Amare is a “South Carolina native who joined Clemson as a top 100 prospect nationally”. Dabo has even compared Amare to Bryan Bresee and Dexter Lawrence.
He was a “Consensus national top 100 player ranked as the 23rd-best player in the nation by 247Sports, the highest 247 ranking of any signee in this class … earned five-star billing from 247Sports, which also listed him as the fourth-best defensive tackle in the country and the top player in South Carolina … named as a four-star recruit by three other major outlets before adding a fifth-star from Rivals after the early signing period … ranked by ESPN as the 58th-best player in the nation, fourth-best defensive tackle in the country and top player in South Carolina … ranked by On3 as the No. 70 player in the nation, the sixth-best defensive tackle and top player in South Carolina … listed by Rivals as the No. 111 overall player in the country, the sixth-best defensive tackle and top player in South Carolina … named to the Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio and earned the organization’s Anthony Muñoz Lineman of the Year award … as of the Early Signing Day, had collected 250 career tackles, 40 tackles for loss and 14 sacks … named to the South Carolina team for the 2024 Shrine Bowl”.
He played DL and OL as well. He also competed in track and field, basketball and shot put in high school. He was a “South Carolina 4A state qualifier in the shot put as a junior. Posted season-best throws of 47-3.5 and 46-11, per Athletic.net.”. In basketball he “Averaged 10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks during junior basketball season, per MaxPreps.”.
