Question for the Falconry experts on the board

I saved a baby Falcon several years ago. She behaved well at first, but became a bit problematic as she started to grow. She has eaten most of the wildlife on the island I live on. Now she is picking me up and dropping me about 10 miles out in the ocean. Luckily I am a skilled swimmer and can return to shore safely. I have a picture of her below (along with some offspring). Her name is Tinkerbell. I need some advice on how to help her with grooming and other falcon needs.

Thankfully a friendly sea turtle has started helping me back to shore after she drops me in the ocean. I got a good picture of him last week.

Our island is virtually uninhabited. Our new doctor helps us and is doubles up as a veterinarian as well. His name is Dr. Moreau. Seems to be a good guy and is very helpful.

Walking on two legs is tough. Perhaps four are better. At least, for most cats.

It was a 6-cylinder wagon with three on the tree. The cylinders were small though so not a lot of power but decent gas mileage. When you opened the hood, you could almost get in, there was so much room in there with that V-6.

1966 Mercury Comet Caliente, which had the same, or very similar engine as your 1964 Falcon. Small straight six, without enough power to get out of its own way. My dad wouldn't let me swap it out for a V-8 until I wore it out. I went everywhere I went for a year and a half wide open. My speedo was off, because I had put bigger tires on the car, but top speed was....86 miles an hour. Speed kills!

T-balm went through a similar set of circumstances a few years back. Ultimately you need to bend over and grab your ankles upon leaving the house as a sign of submission to the falcon. After some time it will it begin to leave you alone. HTH.

Tinkerbell is not responsible for the departure of Patches.....I believe Patches was playing around my pond. I have tinkered with attaching Christmas lights to my gold fish to help them find their way around the fish tank. Things went sideways pretty quick. I ended up throwing the gold fish in the pond. I think that they may have mated with several of the local crocodiles. Dr. Moreau was supposed to help research this for me. Patches might have been attracted to the Christmas light.

Patches did always enjoy stargazing and he loved Christmas tree lights. Your post gives me comfort that perhaps Patches had finally found the magic in life he had been searching for all these years - even if just for a few moments before he was disemboweled and eaten.

A few yrs ago I was in Dubai and went to a true falconry show. I learned that if you had a piece of meat on a long string swirling it in circles over your head, the falcons would chase that and not the humans. Your falcons look to be a bigger breed, maybe you could get some roadkill deer and do some swirling? Kind of heavy for overhead swirling, maybe behind car doing donuts? Just a thought?

I don’t get it. If you raised her why is she sending you out to sea after all you’ve done for her? Maybe if you figure that out you’ll figure out how to stop her from trying to drown you.

Also, just make sure Tinkerbell and that giant sea turtle stay friends or you might not have an island to swim back to.

You could poast this post on the Awburn website. They deal with some birds down that way.

The only advice I could offer is to move further inland. That way, you could walk home or thumb a ride.

My 6 year old son is into Taxidermi and brings home dead animals to play with. But after a while, they begin to smell so I feed them to my eagles. It is a nice give and take, it helps support my son's hobbies, while at the same time helping the local wildlife. They grew very loyal over the years, most mornings they are outside my window staring at me with love and adoration.

I never knew those were Eagles! When I wash up on the shore after Tinkerbell drops me in the ocean, I always see about 10 or 11 of the Eagles circling me. I thought they were Angels!
