Gotta be top 2 or 3, if not #1, given all of her individual accomplishments so far. Hopefully this will be the year the team can win the ACC tourney and get to the WWS finals.

I've never kept up much with the "minor" sports, but this softball team has a way of grabbing your attention and keeping it by virtue of all it's outstanding players and dominant games.

Who won an Olympic gold medal set the American record for her event at the US championships in the same calendar year that she won the NCAA championship.

I would put Val Cagle on par with Brianna Rollins overall.

Val is probably more of a Clemson legend in the making. Brianna was dominant at Clemson but really cemented her legacy in the Olympic Games with the gold medal. Both will be Clemson Hall of Famers one day so in that regard, they are both fantastic athletes!
Go Tigers!!!

Definitely up there for sure. She's just consistently dominant and gives it her all nearly every single game. It's absolutely insane. She deserves a statue outside the ballpark once it's all said and done.

In her sport - no one else is close.
She will go down as a Top 5 Clemson Athlete ever, maybe too 3 depending on the team’s post season success while she is here

As big of a fan as I am of Cagle, Banks McFadden is the clear #1

Three sport athlete with AP All-American honors in two of those sports. Led basketball to it's only conference tournament championship and football to their first ever bowl game and win. It's McFadden for me.
Now, that all changes if Cagle does the unthinkable and leads her team to a WCWS title. I'd gladly put her #1 then.

Barbara Kennedy, Tiger Star and Ruth & Ohtani Comparison
Apr 4, 2023, 9:36 PM
|
|
Bio: Kennedy was a two-time All-American during her career at Clemson, which spanned from 1978 to 1982. She was a three-time first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection and two-time ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player. Kennedy still holds school and ACC records for career points (3,113), career rebounds (1,252), career field goals made (1,349) and field goals attempted (2,688). She also scored the first points ever scored in the inaugural NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 12, 1982.
As for Cagle, she is so unique with her pitching and hitting skill sets, and she compares to baseball superstar Shohei Ohtani and even Babe Ruth in that regard.
