Seriously serious topic - basement bar options.

We have one tiny spot in our basement that is not finished - the spot where a small bar should go. When I say small, I mean no more than 3' x 5'. I wouldn't even mess with it except the plumbing is sticking out (water connections) and we will most likely will sell the house within 5 or so years. The entire basement looks pretty decent but just has one unfinished (more like incomplete) spot.

Went to Lowes. They recommended their cabinetry people. Meh. Rendering looked nice, but $3K to start with. Don't want to spend that much, don't think we would ever get it back. And we're not down there enough for it to matter to our lifestyle.

The paint, etc. downstairs make it too nice to just try to build a homemade bar and I am not skilled enough (or have the tools, etc.) to make it look like a custom cabinet-made bar.

Ideas?

tight space - can't come out too far or it cuts off the room. Very poor layout.

Not our doing. The guy who had the house before us used the downstairs as a gameroom/man cave. We use it as a TV room, bedroom, storage, and gym space. His seating was completely different from ours. Still don't see how he would get much of a bar even using all the space available in the area. We aren't willing to give up the workout space further out.

the sink. No magic to the fridge, just leave the appropriate space next to the sink base.
