Even when it worked, i've asked myself this question and continue to do so after Saturday. I see Dexter Lawrence push his man 3-5 yards into the backfield on every defensive snap. I see him and Christian Wilkins stuff short yardage situations time after time by whipping their man up front in the hole and getting good leverage. Then, when the offense needs a key short yardage conversion late, after struggling all game and all year to get leverage and open holes in the running game and even to the point to where we don't feel like we cant successfully execute a simple QB sneak from under center, we bring these big big boys in...and put them in the backfield. Do we have issues in the backfield?
like what you're saying, thought the fourth down at the goal line was not handled well at all towards the end of the game.you have two studs that coach could have used as extra blockers going in front of Gallman, you also had another option as Deshaun could have run the option and flooded the end zone with several receivers. but as they say----it's monday morning quarterbacking!!
