Narrative, not reality.
Part of the narrative is to proclaim it as reality. Reality is that talent, elite talent, exists outside the SEC as much as inside it. College sports are boring now with that conference getting half the regional sites and teams with losing conference records make it over ones with winning records from other POWER conferences. Zzz

It was obvious they were not good teams.
Obviously, wins and losses matter. I’m just saying that schedule plays a huge role in it.
The 2018 Clemson football team was great and would have pounded anyone they played - and they proved it.
Just saying that schedule plays a big role in wins and losses.
On a side note, I can’t stand SEC teams for the most part. Went to UGA. Hate Athens and how wacko liberal it is, but UGA in my blood since I was a baby. I certainly like Clemson more than other SEC teams.

They did play on the road in Austin, Oxford, Athens, Knoxville… I mean they’re not easy places to play or bad teams. But Auburn also lost twice to UAB which is not excusable.
