I searched for a bit and couldn’t find anything. I’d be interested to hear, too.

Post was a little misleading. I think they were trying to say hee would've started had others left for the league, but now he'll be relegated to mostly relief efforts. He won't have a big opportunity to showcase himself.

Dunno if I buy that. We always rotate 4-5 guys at DT.
Last year we played Christian Wilkins 668 snaps; in an ideal world I think we'd like to cut that by 100+ or so. Dexter Lawrence got 438 though he was limited some by a foot injury.
Bottom line is, we rode Wilkins (and the two end, Bryant and Ferrell) too hard last year. We need to back off a bunch on all their snap counts. Fortunately we seem to have the personnel to do it this year.
Huggins got 220 last year, and I think that'll creep up to 300 or even 350 this year depending on how well he performs. Even over a 15-game season that's about 20 snaps a game, which is plenty of game film.
Just as an aside, Jabril Robinson got 206, Nyles Pinckney 174, and Sterling Johnson 83. Robinson and Johnson - and their nearly 300 snaps - are gone, which also opens up some more opportunity for Huggins. You'd think one of the redshirt or true freshmen will get himself into the rotation at some point, but there's still likely more snaps to go around this year for Huggins.
I have been told Huggins will almost certainly be drafted. There will be plenty of eyeballs on the Power Rangers this year, and they are not likely to miss the fact that Huggins is an NFL talent in his own right.

The post was in reference to recruiting because

we lose a lot from the DL after this year. Specifically, we lose AH after this year...... he is a senior.

Huggins, which shocked me because I have heard nothing about that and couldn't find anything on here that mentioned Huggins no longer being with the team.

Pro scouts want to see a guy play alot

but they also know that being 5th man on such a vaunted DL is not an indication of lack of skill or ability.

through college. AH will not have put his body through as much as the guys in front of him. He can play at the next level and be successful and not played a zillion snaps in college. He will be fresher than the guys he will be competing against in the pros.

He'll play in rotation.
With our defense.... that means Bert will go in the 2nd round instead of the 1st.
