I'm fine with it since I have no idea how he's already been punished and how he's handled it. I'll trust the staff on this one.

would you say suspending him for the game would just be to "save face" to the media and the rest of the nation?
Maybe thats important i don't know.. But he is i'm sure doing alot to pay for his mistake for the last 2 months and will until the season starts.
I think if he is suspended for more than a half of the auburn game then it will be for show so the rest of the nation doesn't criticise him (thats an opinion not a truth by the way)
Just sayin' none of us know anything. We don't know if he's been doing community service all summer long or not. So chill out and accept whatever the coaches decide.

Up until this year (8/11) coaches in the SEC were giving positions to coaches on the S and C staff so that they could coach the players in the off season. Now that the staffs have been reduced by the NCAA this will no longer be allowed in the SEC. Wonder who the first will be to find a way around that rule?

I definitely wish he would play the whole game from a competitive standpoint but I think anything less than sitting him the entire first game sends the wrong message to the rest of the team and as a school.

I think two games, the 2nd and 3rd games he should sit, play the 1st. That would make the chickens go crazy, I would love it. Never seen sc fans be so concerned about what Clemson is doing, well that is wrong because that is all they have ever done. Spot the ball.

by not announcing SW's "punishment", is keeping Allbarn off balance on what they have to scheme for. The more they have to practice and prepare for before the game, the more advantageous for CU. There's nothing sinister about no announcement. Ever heard the old expression "keeping your cards close to the vest." That's all this is.
Sammy will most likely miss time in the AU game. We should all be prepared for it. The flip side is you don't have to tell your opponent 35+ days in advance that they don't have to face your #1 player...

I'll follow up by saying that (as far as we know) Sammy hasn't been convicted of ANYTHING yet. "Innocent until proven guilty" anyone? I might counter that the appropriate time to hand down a punishment is AFTER a court of law finds him guilty of something. Talk to us after that happens.
(I haven't seen anywhere that he's been convicted or exonerated. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong either way.)

I'm pretty sure Dabo will sit Sammy the entire AU game - or until Auburn takes the lead - whichever comes first.

I know Sammy has been doing public appearances or well at least one because I was there. He had a person from the Judicial Courts escorting him. And we were told that it was part of his punishment. So I believe he has been working to correct his wrong.
Also you have to look at a persons career not one mistake. He has been a model citizen and leader for the CU Football program and I believe that is enough.
If he does sit for part of the game, I am still faithful that our offense can be strong enough to overcome it for part or for a whole game.

the last two times a USC player was caught with pot, they were suspended immediately for at least 1 game (Ladi was 3 games if I am not mistaken)

this year, they lose the O-coordinator and the stud RB. At least initially, their offense will be worse than last year.
And yes. We had a quarterback who was all but incompetent in every game he played last year start that one.

that he will be anouncing it right after the team gets back together and he has a chance to talk with Sammy and the team. I am guessing that Sammy will miss atleast the 1st half of the Albarn game. I would imagine that had this happened during the season it would have been a lot more severe. Sammy has had time to do his community service and everythig else above and beyond what Dabo has asked of him.
