Why does Bama's rotation of coaches never hurt recruiting?

Dec 10, 2021, 2:14 PM

They're always still number 1 or number 2 and they have different staffs almost every year.

They pay better than non-SEC programs***

Dec 10, 2021, 2:16 PM

Because its an NFL feeder

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Because it's all about Nick Saban

Dec 10, 2021, 2:16 PM

Always has been.

Plus, Alabama has been known as a stepping stone for assistant coaches for a long time.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I feel like Clemson has been Dabo Swinney. He is a constant***

Dec 10, 2021, 2:20 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Saban also gets the best hires to replace DC/OC.........

Dec 10, 2021, 2:34 PM

regardless of if they're with the program or outside the program.

Wonder how much better the deer antler spray is than the Ostarine?

One word.

Saban

He’s shown time and time and time again that coaching staff changes have zero effect on Alabama’s championship chances and prepping them for the NFL.

Dabo hasn’t had the opportunity to prove that Clemson can do the same thing.
Yet.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well...

Dec 10, 2021, 2:17 PM

So far in 2021 they've had 2
2020: 7
2019: 8
2018: 8

So they do lose players.

"I've played multiple sports and would bet any amount that I'm still more athletic than you at this present time...."

But their recruiting classes are still either #1 or #2

Dec 10, 2021, 2:21 PM

It never truly affects that.

Re: Why does Bama's rotation of coaches never hurt recruiting?

Dec 10, 2021, 2:18 PM

Saban basically pays coordinators to run his system. Dabo hires the best coordinators that have their own system. Two very different coaches.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

because saban is proven

Dec 10, 2021, 2:20 PM

guys know he will replace empty slot with another tried and true proven coordinator

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

a number of reasons....

Dec 10, 2021, 2:20 PM

#1 Nick Saban

#2 they oversign and process players (something i wish Dabo would do now that the landscape has changed so much)

#3 they offer MORE kids early, we wait to see if #1 or 2 commit, once they're off the table we offer others.........which is often too late (this wasn't a huge issue until we started losing 25% of our class to the portal eventually

#4 doesn't directly relate to recruiting, but saban recruits the portal to supplement number deficiencies........and it works

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Maybe they commit to Saban while ours commit to DC/OCs

Dec 10, 2021, 2:32 PM

just a guess

Nick Saban. That is all. He’s got a proven track record of not only being able to help guys get to the NFL but alsoswap out coaches and have little to no drop off with the production on the field.

Re: Why does Bama's rotation of coaches never hurt recruiting?

Nick Saban

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

1. Saban

Dec 10, 2021, 2:46 PM

2. Saban’s proven success winning championships
3. Saban’s “system” so coaches are less important
4. NFL Draft success
5. New assistants are almost always high profile ex-NFL & college head coaches

It’s actually very simple and pretty obvious!

Bama's the best team money can buy, that's why. They are a win at all costs program, money flows like the finest champagne over there. You would think you would understand this by now.
