space-cadet, west coast dudes winning a title...or one giant, multi-state SEC University claiming another? Might be why I tuned the CWS out and off...and await gridiron kickoffs!

Yep and good morning Hartins. Glad to see em lose but I admit that I was more interested seeing in the UCLA outfielder's girlfriend's monstrous bewbs than the game itself. The cameramen found her early and zoomed in often. And sorry.....I know I'm breaking forum rules by not posting a pic but I don't have a clue on how to find a pic and put it here. This old boy just learned how to C&P recently!

Copy and paste, my fellow old fogey! I had to have a 12 yr old explain it to me.....and I still can't do it half the time.
How's the fishing on the lake? Right now, we're killing the spottails and trout in the salt and doing pretty well on farm ponds w/ bass and bream.

My son, grandson and friends have tossed the lures,

but virtually all of my time on the water is spent making sure that the "private stashes" are safeguarded, if you catch my drift. In other words, they are the fishermen....
True story: My Dad asked me to go fishing with him once, when I was about ten or so. After about 10 minutes I set my cane pole down and started wandering around the pond. Upon my return Dad asked, "Why did you wander off?" I replied, "Those things aren't biting!" He then said, "Well, you have to be patient." My retort, "Shoot, I can go buy em in a store quicker than that." He laughed...and thenceforth, asked anyone other than me to go fishing. My son NEVER asks....lol.

You're lucky....I regularly find my tackle box raided by the youngins. I shouldn't complain, my daddy and grandaddy had theirs "inspected" by yours truly. Karma.....and bloodlines!

I played baseball in college(1 start in my career) and I know how hard it is to get to the CWS, much less win it. The SEC has had a team in the finals 6 years in a row. They won 3 of those. The accomplishment by Mississippi St. this year alone surpasses all of your and my past teams history. It is sour grapes to post such a thread when the accomplishment is so great. I am no SEC fan but to post this is beyond ridiculous. I would hope that we could just reach the title game next year. To win it would be the ultimate high. UCLA won their 1st in baseball and their are many more including Notre Dame and Clemson looking to do the same thing in the future. We haven't been since 2002.

Or has your "Golden Dome" cracked.
We ACC/Tiger fans are sick of the likes of ESPN and the Tim Brando's of the world pumping us as if the SEC is the ONLY Conference that matters and how great everything SEC is.
Yes, they have some great teams in many sports. but 8-0, even if you are there, is embarrassing.
I am just glad today we are not hearing, "Another Title for the SEC".

in the BCS championship game, you don't see that ND was just overhyped, no you rationalize that the magnitude of the SEC hype is legit. They are unbeatable giants.

I have no idea why coot trash will always come to their rivals board to quote more useless garbage about a 4th rate sport. How many games did ucla and missy st have to play. Not that it would make any difference to me. I would have been more than OK with 0. Baseball is such a boring game, Rummy anyone!!!

And who won those championships "for" the SEC?

I tend to look at it as an average baseball conference who happened to have the best team in the country at the top. The rest have fallen flat when it mattered every year, if you exclude That Team Not to Be Named.
Don't get me started on Florida, UF, and Vandy. They are always ranked higher than they should be pre-season...
