I'm not sure what decal it is but assuming we know what truck it is, I would get some measurements and get an approximation of the size of the decal and and find a paw, coot, dawg etc decal that size if available and take a picture in the same light, distance, visiblity condition and see what it looks like.

I would look for the other details of the truck first. That could very easily be a glare, along with the one on the front. But if they are decals it could be a dead giveaway obviously.

I thought that at first, but the color seems to solid to be a reflection, it differs from the other light reflections greatly, and it is perfectly centered and a proportionate shape
Just doesn't add up that it is simply a reflection

I initially thought it was just a reflection as well, but after reading Tigers2388 reasoning in another post I have to agree with what he is saying.
That back glass is a solid piece of glass in every picture of this model year that I have seen so far. If it were a reflection the light would have scattered evenly over that glass, not produce what appears to be a perfect oval right in the middle of the back glass. If it is a reflection then that's one hell of a coincidence and perfect timing of when the camera took the picture.
IMO that's a white Georgia G decal, the Carolina ones do not match the shape shown in the picture. The USC logo is shaped differently and the Gamecock one has too many defined edges. Granted it is a sucky picture, but the perfect oval shape is too perfect.

Since they like the rock so much, tie the broken portion of the rock to their 'you know whats' letting it dangle there for a few hours. No wait, make that the remaining portion of the rock that is still in DV. I think that will be a little heavier.
