I recently priced a Ford F-250 Diesel P/U with over 50,000 miles on it (no new ones to be had) the price was $90,000+. I said, no thanks, but prices are obscene.

Not really, they are made in at least 22 countries.
The expensive ones tend to be German.
The GLS, GLE, GLE Coupe, and C-Class sedan are produced in Alabama, near Tuscaloosa.

I have a 22 Hellcat Redeye. Falls into the same category as the TRX (Hellcat motor). It's a cultural thing (videos and all) but you can't park either vehicle outside in any city for more than just a moment without it being stolen. Even with kill switches and trackers they will get these vehicles in less than 60 seconds - often onto a rollback or tow truck but also through other means (stolen fob signals etc). In the bigger cities they break the showroom glass and pull them right out out of the dealership. I knows guys that have had 2-3 stolen and multiple additional attempts including carjacking.
So you drive with your head on a swivel in a city and it has to be parked in a locked garage as soon as it stops moving. In the rougher cities, the dealers keep them locked away and don't have them visible to the public. Many, many people have had the cars stolen when they go in for service. Tech parks it and it's gone in a flash. In ATL security has sidearms and tactical weapons at some popular clubs and they will pull the Hellcats and TRX's in front of the entrance. That does slow them down.
DW will get another one shortly if that's what he likes but they are a PITA when it comes to theft.

Shucks! My old farm trailer with slick tires was stolen out of the tractor shed (which was locked). Trailer was worth $1500 dollars per Insurance company but will cost me $5500 to replace. Police told me the trailer was not a high dollar item and they could not waste resources looking for it. Ticks me off that folks will steal anything and everything you have with no accountability. 20 years ago I could leave the trailer parked in the field with the equipment on it and no one would touch it. Today, folks will steal anything with no consequences.

Buddy just bought a GMC Denali Diesel 2500HD and sticker was right at $100k, few thousand short. Not sure what he actually paid but I was shocked when I saw the price tag.
