We Don really need a QB for ‘24, unless he is an outstanding 5 Star ⭐️. We have the talent on campus, 4 deep. The recruits know it too. We will need at least 1 for ‘25. They will be working on ‘25, and we will get a good one. …. Go Tigers 🐅

Honestly, you can’t tell a lot from that ‘film’ about decision making ability. Not sure if you’re watching Hudl, but that’s highlighted and there’s a lot of difference in live game and coaches film. I’m not debating that you’re wrong, just not sold on anything from highlights

The Streeter hang over. After hearing multiple NFL guys talk about the lack of development in Clemson QBS under him., we had to see this coming. It will take a couple of years to shake that reputation. Streeter did us no favors.

If that were true, then someone needs to explain how Klubnik and Vizzina, two outstanding QBs wound up at Clemson and many others of high exceptional skill levels are still considering the Tigers. I don’t know why you’d say something so off such as that, but whatever helps you feel better about your self. It’s way too close from TL being taken #1 over all for the dumb ESPN lack of brain power comments to have any effect at all.
Probably more along the lines of truth is there’s something about Ohio State that recruits like. There’s a ton of reasons why recruits make their sometimes head scratching choices besides talking morons on ESPN.
Here in my state the question is why a black recruit would choose A$M. Makes no sense if you ever take a trip there for a lot of reasons. Their facilities are nice, but the school itself is lily white. I once heard, and not all that long ago, from a Agroid ‘our Ns beat their Ns’ and I didn’t make that up. Heisman winner Manziel was seen and heard calling an old black fella of over 50 a N and attacking him. Granted, that’s everywhere but that school is the whitest in the country and by rational thought no people that aren’t white would ever consider it, yet they do. The town itself is not exactly ideal for anyone to really want to be there, but people still go there. Hard for an outsider to understand and I’m a way, way outside guy. I will never understand it.

The relationship was already built while Streeter was here. The OC change came to.late.. Just sit and watch, when the offense gets more expensive this year the QB recruiting will not be an issue. This is all about Streeter and the lack of production. His offense was dreadful for 2 seasons. This is the price we are now paying for that.

Please just stop. Streeter had NOTHING to do with this. Not one single thing. I mean, your speculation could just as easily be turned to - the QB didn't want to come because his recruiter and intended future coach won't be here.
So yeah, no need to present baseless speculation as fact. Thanks.

It was one idiot, Trent Dilfer. A mediocre QB at best.
Deshaun and Trevor both won national championships, and both are thriving 1st round NFL QBs who play QB no differently than they did at Clemson. Cole Stoudt became Tom Brady in one game, Kelly Bryant also improved, DJ improved immensely from 2021, and TL and DW are the two greatest QBs in the history of the program.
In Deshaun's final season he willed us to the national championship. In Trevor's final season, he broke records for the most productive passing offense in Clemson history.
Nevermind Dilfer's asinine, ignorant comments, but did YOU actually watch the QBs??
It's utterly ridiculous to suggest any of them went backwards while at Clemon.
The QBs decision has NOTHING to do with Brandon Streeter. Try to be wiser.

Stellar QB play and not being able to develop DJU under Streeter showed flaws. If we come out and do well with Garrett Riley calling the plays this season we will be fine.

I think Dabo's biggest reason for hiring Garrett, it was his reputation for developing QB. I think it was that more so than his offense bc we had already won two national championships with our offense. Our biggest problem was with Streeter's inability to develop elite QB'S!!! We saw what DJ could do in just 3 starts before Streeter had time to completely screw him up, and DJ was no where close to same QB once Streeter had the time to work with him. DJ wasn't a 3 star QB when he left Streeter and Clemson, and I believe Dabo felt he would've screwed Cade up also.

Even a clueless Rottweiler comes up with a bright comment occasionally. I don’t know that Riley’s as good as everyone thinks he is yet, but the name will help and Streeter leftovers have nothing to do with anything or the last two QBs would not be there.
Clemson just had some back luck with DJ

3 of Streeter's are earning professional QB paychecks.
Trevor Lawrence not elite? He was the very first pick in the NFL draft? You're saying je wasn't developed? Did you even watch the actual play on the field? And Watson? Everyone knows he was the best player in the nation and he willed our team to a national championship. Deshaun Watson was perhaps the best, most clutch Clemson QB in history and Trevor is right there with him. To say they were not developed is one of the most ignorant comments ever written here.
Cole Stoudt was transformed from Scrubby McScrubberson to Tom Brady once Street became his QB coach instead of Morris. DW was a 1st rounder with unquestionable QB skills and he left Clemson a better man and player following his development under Streeter. Kelly Bryant won an ACC Championship and we finished 4th in the country with a QB with a limited skillset. Street made him better. Then there's DJ. He went from utterly horrible in 2021, to bringing us back against Wake, beating NC State and reaching 8-0 and a nesr sure playoff team in 2022. Are you suggesting DJ wasn't developed from 2021?That's silly. Streeter got everything possible out of that broken QB.
So yeah, instead of parroting silly stuff from a bonehead like Trent Dilfer, why can't you just go by what your eyes have shown you since 2015 when Streeter became the QB coach? We're 2nd in wins during the playoff era, and thats HIGHLY based off the actual QB results.
I'm positive you've watched out team since 2015. Did you see QBs going backwards? No, no you didn't.
Please retract that nonsense. Thank you, even though I'm sure this factual post will be met with crickets.

Who was DJs QB coach in 2020, 2021, and 2022? DJ's true skillset became apparent in 2021, but then did he did or did he not improve by leaps and bounds in 2022?
Streeter has coached QBs to the playoffs in 6 of 9 occasions. We missed in 2014 when DW got hurt, but Streeter wasn't even on staff until he coached Cole Stoudt into a completely QB and beat the snooze out of Oklahoma. Then we went to 6 straight playoffs (a national record), riding the incredible QB play from 2015 to 2020. DJ is not now or ever an elite QB, but he sure did improve in his last year under Street.
What regression of the last 5 QBs are you seeing?
Again, where in the heck are you getting this nonsense?

thanks to Brandon's work.
Streeter got as much water out of the DJ stone as humanly possible. And that's all that can be said about that.
The offensive struggles the last 2 years have been under two different OCs, both having to work with a broken QB. That's precisely why we dropped from 2nd previously to 5th in P5 wins over the last two years. There's not an OC in the universe that could have gotten anymore production out of DJ than Streeter did.

Klubnik is only a sophomore. Vizzina is only 17 years old. Hunter Helms is serviceable.
We will be fine without an elite guy in this class. A developmental guy would be fine.

The current reports say that Klub starts and Helms is the backup with the plan to redshirt Vizzina. That's all well and good until life happens, and you're down to the 17 year old who's not ready has to play meaningful snaps.
My only point is that our best efforts to challenge for championships is in the best talent being a Clemson Tiger. If a developmental guy is the best option, go for it, but the eval for all of these guys has to be accurate for the teams needs. But you cannot assume that a 2 game display is going to translate to a season of success... we JUST experienced that, and we have also experienced key injuries suddenly having a significant impact.

Clemson was one among several national programs that did not get Air Noland. No shame in that. The fact that he was from a neighboring State means nothing with a 5 star recruit. At the same time, the recently rich always get richer, and those who used to be rich and for the past two years have been a bit less wealthy will have a bit more trouble snagging the top candidates.
Clemson is probably not helped by the fact that we already have two highly rated QBs, one a Sophomore next season, the other a Freshman. Given that circumstance, why would Air Noland want to be here to sit and wait?

1. DJ and the offense looked like crap the last two seasons.
2. Our OL has been declining, which is painful considering it was less than mediocre to begin with.
3. Our WR recruiting and development has dropped off precipitously, which has been magnified by injuries. The 2023 season did not have a 100 yard receiver until the ACC championship game. That’s pathetic!
4. CK is a rising sophomore.
5. CV is a freshman.
6. Riley is installing a new system.
When you look at all of that it’s not surprising none of these kids are committing for 2024.
And we don’t need a QB in the 2024 class.
Have a big year, win the ACC, and get back to the playoffs and 2025 will be a great recruiting class.

Along with the rest of your progressive fascist and authoritarian comrades. You are an embarrassment to Clemson the way you worship the cult of far left propaganda. Even prominent progressive Democrats are pushing back against the cult that is the modern Democratic Party. People like you should start listening to Bret Weinstein, Jonathan Haidt, Peter Bogosian, Jimmy Dore, Joe Rogan, Alan Dershowitz, Jonathan Turley, John McWhorter, Bill Maher, and the dozens and dozens of other left-wing thought leaders pushing back against the bat #### crazy left.
You might want to read some books by Thomas Sowell.
Ask yourself why Tulsi Gabbard ran away from the left of which she was a hero not that long ago.
By the way, Yuri Bezmenov says hello!
