I saw a debate about this a few days ago. Don't know if you saw this today. From Greenville Online:
"Yet, Clemson enjoyed a landmark year in rights and licensing revenues. That includes ACC television agreements, apparel contracts with Nike, beverage and concessions contracts and broadcast packages with Leerfield Sports. Clemson received $29.96 million from those deals in 2014, a $3.9 million increase from the previous year. In 2005, that figure was merely $12.8 million.
USC enjoys more lucrative television rights benefits from its membership in the SEC, whose network deal with ESPN generates more than $300 million each year. USC received $31.6 million in rights and licensing revenues in 2014, marking the program's third consecutive year above $30 million. That figure also includes revenue from agreements with IMG and Under Armor."

I honestly don't think ~$2 million is that huge to be honest with you. I was pleasantly surprised how close we are to them even with the sec network

On that scale 2 or 3 million bucks is negligible . There is no widening gap , or appreciable difference in what Clemson and USuCk are capable of taking in with their respective conferences.
Chickens might want to think about stadium improvements .
Because WEZ/Oculus , beetches !

Thanks for the information. I was like a lot of people, I ASSUMED we weren't in the same come "league" as the SEC. Glad to know I was wrong!

Unfortunately your figures are a little off. The $31 mil. from the SEC does not include any extra money it is strictly bowl payout, t.v. money, and other conference income. If you want to compare apples to apples you have to add in another $14 mil. from IMG media contract, apparel deal, and Gatorade as well as concession contracts. That widens that $2 mil. gap to $16 mil.

The OP was the one comparing last years numbers to this years numbers. I was just basing the FACTS off what he was using for comparison. It still does not change the fact tat his numbers were wrong.

Which numbers do you want to compare. the $31.6 mil that we were paid this year from the SEC(still more than everything you received last year) which does not include any other monies; or the $40.45 mil. in actual 2014 football revenue.

According to the USA today our revenue was $98.6 million and Clemson's was $74.8 million.
That's a pretty significant gap.
