I think Wes was part of the problem, but I love all you folks who quote that number like it means something. Don’t kid yourselves into thinking this team has anywhere near the D talent our other BV playoff teams did.

ASU is probably just happy to be there. Perspective man. Our defense has a history or being great. We all know what a great defense looks like and we have the talent to still be a top 25 unit. Teams like ASU don’t know what great defense looks like.

Yes I am aware we have had historically good defenses but I'm narrowing it down to the years where we won multiple ACC championships in a row and 2 national titles in quick succession which are the years Venables was at Clemson

until this year becasue I thought his def would get better after he gained experience but instead they've gotten much worse especially the run defense. Very little blitzing pressure compared to our previous years with BV. I want to get back to that type of defense.

Nope I have no problem with Dabo making a change at d coordinator but I don't think our woes have been all his fault. He had Clemson ranked 8th in total defense last year and we were terrible
What I wanted is if Dabo fired Wes, he should've fired Riley too. Riley offense has been garbage since he arrived at Clemson. It's hypocritical only to fire Wes
