Thursday nights, like in the days of the Big Thursday game at the fairgrounds, but now we'd continue to alternate home/away?
I think it would be pretty cool. Would be nice to get more visibility for our game. I hate that so few people know the great and long history of it. It gets lost on rivalry Saturday because it usually means absolutely nothing unless there's a major upset. This year, for example, it means absolutely nothing outside the great state of South Carolina, so it will likely get very little coverage. FSU/UF might even be more compelling to the objective/neutral viewer this weekend with all the drama from both programs.
I'm fine with it the way it is, but just seems like it would be cool to get back to that tradition. But as long as we continue to whip their tailfeathers, I'm totally good with it either way!

Our rivalry game has one of the lowest national profiles compared to the amount of hate and vitriol present in it. Plenty of other lesser rivalries get more national attention thanks to a snazzy nickname.

There was more of seething hate; at least from the Clemson side when the decriped Old Ball Coach was in Columbia. It's been lacking since then. I have no idea how the Gamecock fans feel about it.

why else do games like "the civil war" or "the apple cup" and the "egg bowl" get more attention when they are never nationally relevant games either.

No. In this day and age, that would mean a short week before the game and since it is the last game of the season, there is no upside for it.

If the coots were ever good for our game it would get great coverage but now it’s so one sided with Clemson being a National power & the coots always stinking it up like dead chicken.
