My car is black on black and my truck is gray on black. The AC works in both.

I buy them and have lived in South Florida, SC, Southern California, and NC. My AC has always worked well and kicks in fast. It's a non issue.

gray maybe? My old Pontiac was light-mid gray leather and it was great.
White or some light color tan is asking for trouble IMO.
Don't care for black but it seems to be the top choice from car mfrs.

Yeah, AC works great but it's still hotasfuck all summer, and that sucks a massive dong. Other car has tan cloth, and it's MUCH better in the summer. In fact, I prefer cloth over leather all the way around.

I've had it for one summer now, and I don't think I noticed any great difference between it and any other color vehicle I've owned. Hot in the South is hot, period. No sense in overthinking it like some whiny little schoolgirl, I just man up and go about my business. I mean, you don't stay a brutal postapocalyptic warlord very long if you're worried about sweating for a minute or two before the AC kicks in, you know.

It was just as bad as black, nearly. You did NOT wear shorts and get into that thing unaware after it had been baking in the summer sun all day. At least, not more than once. I nearly had to scrape my skin off the seat cover. Ouch.
It was the best car I ever owned, though. 167,000 trouble free miles, and would have been more, except an idiot exiting a parking lot two hundred yards from the chemical plant T-Boned me in the drivers side quarter panel and totaled it.
